Engineering Contracting Company (ECC Contracting) has been honored with the prestigious title of “Digital Construction Project of the Year – Building (Residential) – Winner” for its residential project, Seagate, situated in the Mina Rashid Development in Dubai, which was successfully delivered in December 2025. Comprising four mid-rise buildings of 15, 10, 6, and 5 floors constructed over a shared basement and ground level, Seagate, with a total built-up area (BUA) of 66,895 m², reflects a complex yet highly coordinated build-only scope executed for Emaar, with design consultancy by Studio International Engineering Consultants. The project stands as a testament to ECC Contracting’s ability to manage multi-structure developments with precision and efficiency within a live, evolving urban environment.
What distinguishes the Seagate project is its pioneering use of an in-house BIM automation ecosystem, enabling seamless end-to-end data continuity across all project stages. By integrating AI-enabled clash detection and automated coordination workflows, ECC Contracting significantly enhanced design accuracy, minimized rework, and improved construction sequencing. This digital-first approach allowed teams to make faster, more informed decisions, ensuring optimal alignment between design intent and site execution.
Beyond technological advancement, the project delivered measurable lean construction outcomes that underscore ECC Contracting’s commitment to continuous improvement. Through structured Kaizen implementation, the project achieved 31 process enhancements, generating verified savings of nearly USD 105,000, while also reducing material wastage by approximately 64%. These results highlight the tangible impact of digital construction practices when combined with disciplined project management and a culture of operational excellence.
