Engineering Contracting Company (ECC Contracting) is proud to announce the successful achievement of 7 million safe man-hours at The Peninsula Plot Z Project in Business Bay, Dubai, marking a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to health, safety, and operational excellence. This accomplishment further strengthens ECC Contracting’s reputation as one of the most reliable contracting companies in the UAE, consistently delivering projects with a strong focus on safety and performance.
The Peninsula Plot Z is a major design and build residential development comprising two high-rise towers rising B+G+45 and B+G+34 floors, supported by four shared podium levels. Developed for Select Global Development LLC, the project spans a built-up area of 143,750 sqm and represents a key addition to Dubai’s premium waterfront living destinations. Since its commencement on 19 December 2023, the project has progressed steadily and is currently on track for completion in June 2026.
Zero LTI Achievement Over One Year
The milestone of 7 million safe man-hours was achieved over a one-year period, from 20 February 2025 onwards, following the reset of the safety count after a Lost Time Injury (LTI) recorded on 17 February 2025. Since then, the project has maintained a zero LTI record, demonstrating ECC’s disciplined and proactive approach to safety management, an essential factor that defines the most reliable contracting company in the UAE.
With an average workforce of approximately 1,187 personnel, maintaining such a record on a high-rise development of this scale highlights the strength of ECC Contracting’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) systems and its deeply embedded safety culture.
